Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel is a British actor best known for the role of Missandei in HBO's dramatic fantasies "Game of Thrones". (HBO 2011-19). Emmanuel lived in Southend-on-the-Sea which is a beach resort in Essex and became interested in the performing arts at the age of three. The mother of her daughter was immediately impressed, and when young Nathalie was just three years old, her parents enrolled her in performing, singing and dancing classes. Emmanuel developed quickly as a actor, and by the late 90s she had portrayed the character of Nala for"The Lion King," a West End show of the highly acclaimed musical "The Lion King." Emmanuel had auditioned for roles in film and television when she was in her teens. In 2007, she was offered her first role of note when she played Sasha Valentine in the British soap opera Hollyoaks (Channel 4 from 1995 to). Emmanuel took on the role for four years until going off the show in. The next major breakthrough for Emmanuel was three years later, when she was cast as Missandei in the role of interpreter for Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Emmanuel played in all seasons of "Game of Thrones", all the way until the May 2019 season conclusion.
